We had our School Athletics, North Zones and Otago's all within a few weeks. It was a busy time for those competing in all.

MUFTI DAY TOMORROW!!

The school council has organised a mufti day for Thursday 28th November. The cost is $2. Students who have technology on Thursday also need to bring their school shoes along for those sessions. Proceeds from the mufti will go towards the SPCA. Thanks, School Council.

Ballet Session

During Week 7 all Year 7 classes were given the privilege to have a Ballet lesson with Chloe, an educator dancer with the Royal New Zealand Ballet. This was a fantastic session to tie in with our Term Four topic - pARTicipate - with our focus on the ARTS.

Year 7 students have explored making clay fish. They also painted fish focusing on mixing new colours and using a variety of techniques.

Bees Galore in Art

In art, more Year 8 classes have been busy using the observational drawing skills of a scientist crossed with the tonal skills of an artist. Next, they explored and played with developing cartoons of bees depicting some of the hive jobs. When designing their bee cartoons they focused on developing their character, setting, story, and composition skills. Some students explored bees through paper collage.
