A number of Year 7 students were lucky enough to take part in an extension opportunity at the Art Gallery. Level 2 restrictions meant that our whole class sessions were unable to go ahead, but four groups of students all had a workshop with John Neumegen.

This term our Year 7 classes have started the term with a Poetry creative writing unit. Here are some samples of our poems - the first "If I were a storm" based on a poem by Katie Boom, emotion poems based on the senses and the rollercoaster of emotions at puberty and some classes also completed Metaphor poems - based on Iain Sharpe's - I am. Our Year 7's have also been reading picture books during our library sessions as part of our Oral language programme.
