Year 7 Fabrics - Softie Central

Our last two Year 7 rotations have explored hand sewing. Each student successfully learnt to sew on a button and they have designed and created their own unique Softie.

Year 7 News

It's a wrap! Our Term Four parTicpate term came to an end with class performances and presenting of our twisted fairytales. Our end of year celebrations have started and our year 7 students are ready for a well earned break and are looking forward to stepping up as Year 8 students in 2022.

Beach Education Day

Over the summer many of our students will no doubt visit our beaches and spend time in the water. We thought it would therefore be timely to have our Year 7 students take part in a Beach Education day to learn how to keep themselves safe in the water.

Year 7 Ballet

During Week 3 all Year 7 classes were privileged to have a Ballet lesson with Lauren, an educator/dancer with the Royal New Zealand Ballet. This was a fantastic session to tie in with our Term Four topic - pARTicipate - with our focus on the ARTS.

Year 7 Speech Finals

This term all our Year 7 classes completed a speech writing and presenting unit in their classrooms culminating in a Year 7 Final in Week 4.

Rock climbing at Long Beach

We were lucky this term to have our EOTC Term Four event take place. Our Year 7 students were challenged to complete a number of rock climbing courses up the rock face. Check out some of our amazing photos from the day.

Year 8 Lit Quiz Winners - The Mockingjays Rm 5

Library this term for year 8 was participating in a Lit Quiz, the final of which was held on Monday 15th November. Finalists from each class met for a Grand Final.
