Year 7 Literacy

This term our Year 7 classes have started the term with a Poetry creative writing unit. Here are some samples of our poems - the first "If I were a storm" based on a poem by Katie Boom, emotion poems based on the senses and the rollercoaster of emotions at puberty and some classes also completed Metaphor poems - based on Iain Sharpe's - I am. Our Year 7's have also been reading picture books during our library sessions as part of our Oral language programme.

Student Council: Mufti Day and Sausage Sizzle.

Our Student Council are organising a mufti day and a sausage sizzle to raise money for their chosen charities: Green Peace, Starship Hospital and Ronald McDonald House.
