Last Day's to Order!! TERM 3 PBL…. THE 'FFF" Bag

The FFF Bag is an awesome product Room's 6, 10 and 11 have been working on for our PBL. It is filled with items to help families in our community with their Hauora, and Health. The FFF stands for Fun, Family and Focus. There are a lot of fun things in the bag! Orders close Monday 5pm, delivery/pick up Week 7. The link to order has been sent to all emails and can be found at the bottom of this page also.

Room 6 Art Gallery

This week the Year 7 classes began their sessions at the Art Gallery. Our sessions link in with our health theme topic and classes chose sessions related to this from fitness, nutrition, friendships to emotions - the roller coaster of puberty. Room 6 choose to focus on Emotions.

The 'FFF" Balmac Colour Run!

Save the date! The first ever Balmacewen Community Colour Run/Walk will be held on Wednesday August 28th from 4-30 pm onwards with the run starting at 5.00pm. The countdown is on! Come and join the fun!

As part of our F factor health & wellbeing this term and celebrating last terms sports we went to the Edgar centre for a large ball skills tournament.

The Library Web Page can now be accessed through the Balmacewen Intermediate website.

With the upgrade of the Library Server, we struggled to get the Library page link working from our website, however this has now been remedied.

Mufti Day - Wednesday 3rd July

The school council has organised a mufti day for this Wednesday 3rd July. The cost is $2. Students who have technology on Wednesday also need to bring their school shoes along for those sessions. Thanks, School Council.

Maths - Tiny Homes Challenge!

As part of our Measurement unit in Maths Room's 5,6,25 and 25 have been working on prototyping and designing tiny homes for our end of term project - with the need to think about our eco- footprints and the about of space we take up.

Year 7 News: The "F" Factor - Year 7 Term Three Focus

It has been a very busy Term for our Year 7 students - this newsletter contains a number of articles about some of the fantastic work and activities we have been involved in. Thank you to our parents and communities who continue to support our students. We now look ahead to Term Three. In Term Three the Year 7 classes move on to a Health and Wellbeing integrated theme. The "F" Factor is our catch phrase for the term which will look at - Friendship, Focus, Family, Food, Fun..... under the umbrella of thinking about what being happy and healthy is all about.

The Arts Expo - Term Three

Next term we will be having a celebration of the Arts performance in Week 10, September 25th at Otago Boys High School. This will include our WEARABLE Arts show and talent quest winners, plus other arts performances to link it all together.
