Published success for Lily Knox!

Lily's work has been selected from over 1000 entries to be published in the Toitoi journal. Toitoi is a quarterly journal of writing and art by New Zealand children, ages 5–13.

CAMLAB - Term Three

Southland Sports Exchange

Yesterday 100 Balmacewen students travelled down to Invercargill for our annual winter sports exchange with Southland Boys and Girls High School.

Tech Girls are Superheroes Competition 

This year Balmacewen Intermediate entered three teams in the Tech Girls are Superheroes Competition which is an Australasian competition designed to support and encourage girls to get involved in the tech industry.

Balmac had 2 teams entered in the EPro 8 Challenge. One of our teams; Olivia, Aaron, Taisei and Bill came in 2nd securing a place in the Otago Regionals.

Hunger Football Games Event

Hunger football games event is on Sunday 23 July – last day of the school holidays at the Edgar Centre. Its football in an inflatable arena ! It’s for boys & girls to compete in teams of two from age 5 upwards.
