Hand Sew Goodness

Our first group of Year 7 classes have gained a new skill set creating with soft materials.
All ākonga had the opportunity to design and create a small hand sewn outcome for their chosen stakeholder. They had to work with felt and learn to hand sew.
We had felt food that looked good enough to eat! Along with ... creative keychains, designer coasters, marvelous magnets, brilliant bookmarks, personality packed pencil toppers and delightful decorations made using a variety of hand sewing techniques.

Well done to all ākonga who approached this new learning opportunity with a growth mindset.
It takes practise, perseverance and a good amount of patience to make progress. Be proud of your efforts.
