Hockey

Balmacewen Intermediate have 4 teams in the Intermediate hockey competition this year. 

We are fortunate to have the help of some excellent coaches and a lot of great support from parents. 

The blue team and green team are in the competitive grade and have had some great games including a close game against each other.

The orange and yellow mixed teams are making excellent progress and have had some competitive games in their grade.

Jolene Casey from Otago Hockey came to school and run an umpiring session for students who wanted to umpire junior hockey. We had 8 students who attended and many of these students umpired their first games on Friday night. Well done.

We have games on Friday 8th July (end of term.) There is no hockey over the school holidays. Hockey resumes after the holidays on Friday 29th July and the last game of the season is on Friday 26th August.
