Challenge Accepted!

Over this year Room's 6, 7 and 8 have been training hard and running many kilometres in their quest to run the length of New Zealand by the end of the year!

On Wednesday our classes took our run NZ challenge to the next level as we had reached Wellington in our running challenge. Now we had to get across the Cook Strait! As a class we worked our the shortest distance between the two islands - this was about 22km or 22000m!

So off to the pool we went - our mission was to as a class swim the required distance across the Cook Strait. Each class had to complete 880 lengths to do so! We spent an hour and half swimming in groups, taking breaks when we needed to but we got there! Every class made it - working together with some completing up to 100 lengths and others doing their very best. It was a great way to finish the term and for each class to work together supporting each other to get there!
