Welcome to Term 3

I hope you have all had a good break. We look forward to seeing everyone again tomorrow!

Despite the rather cold and wet weather, I hope you have enjoyed a good hoiiday break. Here's to blue skies and a good end to our winter!

You may be aware that the government and Ministry of Education are again "strongly encouraging" mask wearing at school. This is to try and slow down expected seasonal flu and Covid rates over the next 4 weeks.

I'm pleased to say that during Term 2 our mask wearing was very good so we really will just continue the good work. Our stance for Term 3 is unchanged.

That is, that we strongly encourage students to wear a mask when indoors.

We continue to monitor the ventilation levels in our classrooms and also give plenty of opportunity for outdoor (mask free) activity. Our staff will continue to wear masks at school when indoors.

If your child has their own mask, please encourage them to bring it to school. However we do have plenty available should your child need one.

I realise that not everyone shares the same opinion on mask wearing and it is not our aim to make anyone feel uncomfortable. However we also have a part to play in keeping ourselves and our community safe so thanks in advance for your support.

Kind Regards

Andrew Hunter
