Year 8 Pies

The term 2 pies have been freshly made this week....
Over this term we have been planning for our pies. We have trialled different pastries, worked on meat to sauce ratios, learnt how to make mashed potatoes, and how to add a variety of flavours.
The students then designed their pies with their favourite flavours such as sweet and sour, butter chicken, fried chicken with potato & gravy, sauages & beans, pork & apple, pulled pork, and beef brisket.
They chose their pastry base, and the pie top could be potato, kumera or a pastry lattice.
The end result could be smelt across the school this week and I hope they enjoyed their perfect pie.
