Kia ora koutou
We are now halfway through what has been a very positive and productive term, with a great deal to celebrate across the school. Sport is well underway, and we extend our sincere thanks to Elise McIlroy, our new Sports Coordinator, for the energy and organisation she has already brought to the role. We are also very grateful to the many staff who generously give their time to coach and manage our numerous sports teams—your commitment provides wonderful opportunities for our students.
Our Year 7 camps are nearly concluded and have been highly successful, offering valuable experiences that build confidence, friendships, and a sense of belonging. Thank you to all the staff and parents whose support and involvement have made these camps such a positive experience. The Year 8 camps have also now begun, providing further opportunities for challenge, growth, and connection outside the classroom. It has been fantastic to see our Year 7 students settling so well into Balmacewen and beginning to explore the wide range of opportunities on offer.
As we move through the remainder of the term, we encourage you to support your children to stay focused and engaged right through to the end. We also look forward to seeing you again at the Term 1 Parent Teacher Meeting and continuing to work together to support your child’s progress and success.
Nāku noa,
Corey Todd
