Kia ora koutou!

I hope this newsletter finds you and your whānau happy and well!

We are at the end of Term 3 and celebrate an excellent term of learning and growing at Balmacewen!

It has been a super busy term with many highlights. Polyfest, Jump Jam, Koru Games, winter sports have all contributed to a very lively and fun time.

If you were fortunate enough to see our kapa haka at Polyfest, I 'm sure you were moved by the powerful, cohesive and beautiful performance. A credit to the many hours of practice and the wonderful leadership and support from our staff.

I have really enjoyed viewing the great variety of PBL projects this term. Some lovely examples of creativity and innovation in so many ways. Our association with Animated Research Limited is very special and we acknowledge their contribution to our programme. We are fortunate to have such a wonderful resource in Dunedin.

Thank you to all staff for their commitment this term. I am grateful for all the extra and often unseen effort that goes into making Balmacewen a great place to be. It's also nice to get excellent feedback from other sources. We have just hosted the Education Review Office. Their feedback and findings strongly validate what we see every day.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday break. I look forward to seeing everyone back refreshed and ready to go for a big Term 4!

Ngā mihi mahana
