Year 8 Pies

The first batch of pies for the year have been designed, made and eaten!
The Year 8 have learnt all about the elements for making a good pie. The ratio of meat to sauce, adding flavour layers, learning how to make mashed potato, and making good pastry.
Then they decide on a flavour. This process can be interesting as the partners have to agree on a flavour. We had a wide variety from mince & cheese, to butter steak (instead of chicken), to Sweet & Sour Pork with nectarines instead pineapple.
They all looked and smelt amazing. I'm not too sure how many made it home...so check out the gallery.
