Fabrics - Year 7

We have already learnt many new skills in the Fabrics room.

Our Year 7 classes have gained confidence using their sewing machine and are now threading up and "catching the fish" independently. I have enjoyed watching those who have displayed a growth mindset (GMS) when faced with new learning. Race (Room 9) managed 100 ... YES 100 corner pivots!!! Very impressive skills and mindset. Students have completed their "sewing licence" and I am happy to report they are ALL licenced to sew.

We are all looking forward to completing the Year 7s first Technological outcome (a cushion cover and inner) created in Fabrics. As their covers come together, the fabric choices are looking fabulous!

Keep displaying our school values Year 7. We need plenty of Perseverance when we are learning new skills.
