Dunedin Year 7 and 8 Golf Competition 

This is a team Golf Competition for competent golfers. The Balmacewen Team heads to compete in Dunedin local Year 7&8 Competition. From there, the leading teams go compete in a district final at the end of the year. 

Tee off; 10am

Golf Course; Gladfield Golf Club  

Format: Rolling Ambrose, 9 Holes

Teams; Will consist of 4 players. Each team must have one set of clubs and one teacher/parent with them

Cost; $5 per player

Our golf coaching programme is a real privilege as only 10 students within the school for the three golf groups are chosen. Students that show interest via the (In School Programme and genuine golf players) are chosen by classroom teachers to attend the 5-Week Coaching Programme. When students are being considered all levels of abilities are taken into consideration. 

When; Friday afternoon 1- 3pm (5 consecutive Friday's)

Where; Balmacewen Golf Club

Cost; There is no charge for this programme

Equipment; All Supplied 

• The programme consists of 5 sessions of golf coaching with Melanie Harper.

• Coaching covers all aspects of play, including scoring, etiquette, rules and on-course play.

• All equipment is provided, although children may bring their own gear if they wish.

• Children must wear the correct Balmacewen PE gear and sports shoes and bring a jacket.

• The course will run from 1.15pm until 2:45pm on Fridays. Students will meet in the Office foyer ready to leave at 1.00pm. 

• Students will be transported by school van to and from the sessions.
