Year 7's in the kitchen

We've just completed our first rotation in the Foods Room.

We started with a smoothie, made some scones, muffins and pizza. We have been practicing our cutting techniques with our meat & vegetables for the stir-fry, apples, plums and nectarines for the crumble and the sushi, (and not too many fingers). We have finished up with working out the difference between a biscuit and a cookie, and taste testing was an important part of the discovery.

The books with their report will be coming home, but the recipes have been shared with all the students via their google docs, so they can make some yummy food for their whānau.

Group C have started foods this week with their smoothies.
