Year 7 Hand Sew

Our Year 7's have made their first hand sewn outcome in our Fabrics room this year. They are gorgeous corner bookmarks for the reader in the house.
All students were taught how to ...thread a needle without knots, sew on a button, loop stitch, running stitch and some even had time to explore other types of stitching such as blanket and chain.
I am proud of their mahi and I hope they are too. Hand sewing is a challenging task but with a growth mindset all students made progress.
