Year 7's in the kitchen

The final group of the first rotation are just finishing their time in the foods room.

We are working out the difference between a biscuit and a cookie, and taste testing is an important part of the discovery.

Over the past few weeks the Year 7's have been practicing their cutting techniques with the meat & vegetables for the stir-fry, apples & peaches for the crumble, cauliflower and broccoli for the cheese sauce and the sushi, (and not too many fingers were damaged in the process). The books will be coming home soon, but the recipes have been shared with all the students so they can make some yummy food for their whānau. 

All the year 7's will have another rotation through the technology rooms before the end of the year.
