Year 7's in the kitchen

The third group of year 7's are just finishing up their time in the foods room.

We are just finishing up with working out the difference between a biscuit and a cookie, and taste testing was an important part of the discovery. 

Over the past few weeks the Year 7's have been practicing their cutting techniques with the meat & vegetables for the stir-fry, apples & peaches for the crumble, cauliflower and broccoli for the cheese sauce and the sushi, (and not too many fingers).

The books will be coming home after the holidays, but the recipes have been shared with all the students so they can make some yummy food for their whānau over the break.
