Year 8 Lit Quiz Winners - The Mockingjays Rm 5

Library this term for year 8 was participating in a Lit Quiz, the final of which was held on Monday 15th November. Finalists from each class met for a Grand Final.

Covid restrictions meant we couldn't have our Lit Quiz final in the hall with audience participation, so the winning team from each class came to the Library instead.   The Mockingjays took out the title, followed by No Name from Room 23.   Third place went to the Fictionals from Room 6 in a very closely fought competition.    Places for second and third were tied up and we had to go to five extra questions to find the placings.   

A massive thank you goes to the University Bookshop for supplying voucher prizes of $20 per person for 1st place and $15.00 each for second.  Paper Plus gave us a $10.00 voucher for each person in the third placed team.    A number tote bags were given out (kindly donated by the UBS) and of course, chocolate was eaten!!  

Our markers and scorer this year were five year 8 students who did a brilliant job.
