Message from the Principal

We are at the end of Term 2 and there's much to celebrate!

Kia ora koutou

We have had a very busy and enjoyable term with many highlights. As always it's great to see our students doing their best on a daily basis. Our assembly certificates are a good indicator of this, for as well as recognising outstanding achievement, common themes are kindness, respect and being a good Balmac citizen. Personal and character development play such a major role in the ongoing health and wellbeing of our young people and it's great to see many of these qualities come to the fore at Balmacewen.

We finish this term with our school hangi, celebrating Matariki. A great school event to reinforce what matters most...... people.

Thank you to our parent helpers who have supported Year 8 camps and  managed or coached sports teams this term. Your contribution is greatly valued. Thanks also to our hard-working Balmac staff who consistently go above and beyond in so many areas of school life.

I hope everyone enjoys a good holiday break. We look forward to seeing everyone back, refreshed and ready to go for Term 3.

Ngā mihi nui
