The writing extension group have been taking part in Storyathon (a challenge to write a story in exactly 100 words) Congratulations to Megha who was placed in the top 10 in all of New Zealand and Australia

Megha was named in the top 10 in all of New Zealand and Australia in the Lower Secondary section of Storyathon. The topic for Term 3 was "New Zealand and/or Australia

Here is her writing....

White bushes of fluff prance around on the green paddocks. Colossal waves hurdle onto the rugged rocks, the grainy silk sand falls through my fingers. The sun slowly sets onto the horizon as I take the tender lamb chop off the barbecue. For dessert I chomp down a snow light pavlova that evaporates in my mouth leaving my taste buds twirling around. I fall asleep quickly, and early in the morning, awoken by the sound of Bellbirds chirping. Light but freezing rain gracefully hits my cold legs. However my gumboots protect me from the ginormous puddles. This is New Zealand.
