Pineapple Track with the Back Block

On Monday 21 September Rooms 9, 10 and 11 got out to do the Pineapple Track walk. It was a fabulous day and there were some tired legs at the end.

As part of our Hauora (Health and Well-Being) unit in Term 3, the Year 7 classes celebrated by having a day out in the great outdoors. Rooms 9, 10 and 11 were lucky enough to go on Monday 21st September, and the weather gods looked upon us favourably. We left at 9am and bused to the 'Bull Ring' on 3 Mile Hill. We then walked over the track, down through Ross Creek and came out near John McGlashan College, then headed back to school. It was a solid 4 hours of walking and the students did remarkably well. It was lovely to finally get a day out this term and enjoy each others company. It was great for both our physical and mental well-being. Thank you to all those parents who helped on the day. We really appreciate it. Nga mihi. Have a fantastic holiday.
