Year 8 News

The Year 8 Staff would like to take this opportunity to thank the families and friends of our students for the support you have provided during the 2019 school year.

This year has flown by. We appreciate all the assistance that the Year 8 families have provided. It certainly enabled us to provide a rich programme.

During 2019 the students have blossomed in all areas. Whether developing teamwork skills, or displaying an independent work ethic... we would like to congratulate the students on the growth in all aspects of their schooling.

Term 4 has seen us cover one of our most important units of work, that is the health unit titled Challenges and Decision Making. Hopefully your child has shared the messages of these lessons with you. The session in the Life Bus about the dangers of vaping was amazing. We all learnt so much! Being able to talk to parents and families about the pressures of puberty is an important strategy for your child to successfully navigate the challenges ahead.

It was pleasing this year to see so many students applying themselves in class and getting involved in extracurricular activities. Taking this can do attitude forward will see your child make the most of the high school years. We would like to wish both you and your child all the best for 2020.

Enjoy quality time together over the festive season.
