Survival Kit - Hauora

The term 3 Year 7 focus was health and wellbeing based on the Māori concept of Te Whare Tapawhā.

Students were introduced to each aspect of the Hauora model looking at the 4 corners; Mental, Physical, Social and Spiritual Wellbeing. From here we looked into how these can be interpreted in our everyday lives and can achieve a healthy and balanced lifestyle when strong.

The task was to understand and create a Student Survival Kit that would support and promote health across the four walls of Haoura. The survival kits could be made using digital links or physical tools. Children enjoyed finding out and presenting their learning in a variety of engaging ways, such through dietary plans, exercise routines and calming and focusing apps.
