An update on some staffing changes at Balmacewen.

Kia ora Parents and Caregivers

Following some recent appointments there are several changes to Balmacewen staff.

Ms Lisa Dixon has been appointed to the position of Assistant Principal Dean of Year 7. Lisa is a highly experienced teacher and leader in our school. She will start her new role in week 2 of next term. This also means that she will now teach in Room 6.

Lisa replaces Ms Beth Downie who has been appointed as Deputy Principal of Kaikorai Primary School. Beth has been an integral member of Balmacewen for over 10 years. We wish her all the very best with her new role.

Replacing Lisa Dixon in Room 7 will be Ms Tess Monaghan. Tess has been a regular relief teacher in our school and we look forward to welcoming her into our full time staff.

Mrs Penny Riley, our  specialist fabrics teacher, is also leaving us at the end of Term 1. Penny has been a classroom teacher and fabrics specialist for 12 years and has done a fantastic job in introducing students to the creativity and design elements in fabrics. We wish her all the very best in her new venture. Penny will be replaced by Mrs Angela Burden who already teaches part time in the Fabrics Room.

Kind Regards
