Year 7 Term 3 news

It has been a great start to Term 3 for the Year 7 crew

It was fantastic to touch base with our parent community in Week 1 and discuss learning goals for your children.  Even though we do not have another parent interview with you this year, as always please get in touch at any time if we can help in any way.

It was also so fabulous to see so many of our Year 7 pupils being strong ambassadors for our school at this week's open night. It is hard to believe they were the ones being shown around the school a year ago! We are incredibly proud of our school and our students who did a fabulous job of showcasing Balmacewen Intermediate School.

Classes have been visiting the Dunedin Public Art Gallery and completing art works based around the themes of Health and Wellbeing.  The art work that has been produced is exceptional - you'll be able to view some of the art below.

Next week we are lucky enough to be able to attend the Anatomy Museum.  You generally cannot visit the museum unless you are studying a health science. It will be great to be able to explore this special space and see what is on display. For more info visit this link https://www.otago.ac.nz/anatomy/facilities/museum/index.html

As our Winter sports come to an end, many thanks to all of our parent community for their contributions on and off the field/court over the last 10 weeks. We really appreciate all you do!

Many thanks for all your support this term!

Beth Downie and the Year 7 team.
