Term 2 - Week 4

By Rowan Cooke | Posted: Sunday June 17, 2018
This week was filled with fun experiences and experiments!

Monday

We were focusing on our marble challenge.

In the last couple of weeks we had been measuring how far the marble goes when we changed certain variables such as angles or where the marble was placed on the ramp. We recorded our results so we could look back at them for the big challenge.

Tuesday

On Tuesday we did our Marble Challenge competition. Each round Mr Cooke set a length that you had to get the closest to. We had to use all our previous information to get closer that the other teams. Points were given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place each round.

Wednesday

As our topic for this term is Discovery, we did a science experiment. We mixed baking soda, tartaric acid and water in a little plastic bag. When we mixed it the bag became inflated and the mixture became cold and bubbly.

It was very fun to make and play with.

Thursday

Mr Cooke was sick so we were split into different classes.

Friday

We started our day off with a mega math test/challenge.

After morning tea we had our Full STEAM ahead.

Year 7 assembly took up most of the afternoon.

We finished the day off with a kahoot quiz.

Special

We have just got our new college teacher…

Mr Affleck!!!
