FREE online game creation workshops for young people aged between 10 and 14

We are pleased and excited to be able to invite pupils (aged 10 years and over) from your school to the following FREE workshops that will be held at the City Library in Moray Place during the first week of the September/October school holidays. See the attached poster and detail below:

The workshop will introduce them to a wide range of online tools and will help them develop a simple online game.

They’ll have the chance to make their own game by learning game strategy, coding and heaps more at the FREE workshops run by Gamefroot!

It would be good if they are able to bring their own laptop, i.e. Windows or Mac (but, not a chrome book), with the Google Chrome browser, at least 2GB RAM and at least a 13” screen.

To find out more and to register see www.publiclibraries.org.nz.

Also, join us at the FREE community show-off event, where we get to celebrate the results of the workshops, onFriday 2nd October, 7-8pm. Please RSVP to this celebration at www.publiclibraries.org.nz.
