This term all year 8 students will be completing both personal and team challenges.

The next 7 weeks will see the students working extremely hard to complete the Challenge units of work. These programmes will see the students implement the numerous skills they have been developing over the last 2 years. From our experience Term 4 summarises the foundations to springboard into their high school life.  The units of work that the students will be participating in include...

- Year 8 touch tournament

- Life Ed bus visit (Drug and Alcohol Unit)

- Challenge Day out and associated fundraising activities

- Year 8 Triathlon

- Understanding Changes at Puberty Unit

- Year 8 Lip Sync Festival.

There are a lot of fun activities planned.  These include Challenge Day Out, Year 8 Social, School Swim and Classroom Activities. Teachers are constantly referring to the expectations newsletter that came home at the start of the term, reminding the students how important it is to keep applying their best efforts in all endeavours.

Each child has received an informational newsletter about the Challenge Day Out and we wish the students all the best in their fundraising endeavours.

Kind Regards

Year 8 Staff
