Scribble Machines

Room 25 and 26 teamed up today to get creative with some bits and bobs, wires and tape.

The resources were laid out in front of them; 1 paper cup, AAA battery, wires, 1 rubber and a motor. Students quickly made the connection and had there motors purring.
"But what can we do with this", they exclaimed!
After a brief discussion about the possible benefits to this technology, we were introduced to the Scribble Bot video.

Students love a challenge, and without much encouragement, they were off exploring tools and developing their thinking to create their own personal Scribble Bot.

Variables were the focus of today's creations and students quickly learned that results could be influenced by slight changes in designs. It was great to see all groups working together and creating such a range of results, each group adding their own individuality and expertise to the bots.
