Olympic Swimmer Visits Balmacewen

Olympic swimmer Jonathan Duncan came to talk to year 8 students as part of our Olympic Immersion Week.

This week year 8 students are taking part in Olympic workshops. Each day students are to take part in and learn about a different element of the Olympic Games. The workshops the students will be taking part in are; health and nutrition, Olympic training,  opening ceremonies, and history and significant events.

Local man Jonathan Duncan, swimmer at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games came to talk to the year 8 students on Tuesday 16th August. 

He spoke about his journey in swimming and credited goal setting and hard work to his success in life, both in and outside of sport. Students also had time to ask him some hard hitting questions.
