Last week Mark Delacy (Aka the Minstrel) entertained the Year 8 students with his unique presentation.
As part of our Term 1 integrated unit we had a special presentation from the minstrel to all Year 8 students. His presentation about fishing contained several key messages related to the importance of conserving our kaimoana.
Mark also talked about how he created his songs and performed many of his parodies. His challenge to the students was to write a story focusing on his messages. The winner of this school competition will then receive a "Hiwi the Kiwi" fishing rod.
We look forward to publishing these stories.
