WELCOME TO TERM 2

By Rowan Cooke | Posted: Sunday May 1, 2016
We have a busy action packed ten weeks full of challenges and new learning ready to happen!

I hope you are all well rested from your two weeks away from school and are ready to hit the ground running.

We are kicking off May Mega Maths Month tomorrow as we hit our basic facts learning with higher intensity than usual - we are hoping to see a big improvement over the month of May in our times table and division facts.

We will also begin the accumulate stage of our Science Fair inquiry and begin to brainstorm some ideas for you all to work with.

We have two trips this term - one to the Otago Museum Planetarium to learn about the night sky (Thursday 26 May in the morning) and Matariki (Maori New Year) and we spend a whole day at Arai te Uru Marae reinforcing our Matariki learning (Wednesday 8 June ), really exciting times ahead and possibly new experiences for many of you.

Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow.
