Art students design outfits for Frida Kahlo to travel abroad in and then paint paint paint.
A very successful and challenging painting unit. Year Seven art students learnt about the colourful life of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. They brainstormed countries she could visit and designed outfits for her. They used the painting skills they had already developed in their previous unit. Lots of problem solving was required especially when painting the skin tonally. They look fabulous and Frida would have looked grand wearing these outfits.
