Room 9's class trip.

On Tuesday Rooms 1 and 9 had a great day out, enjoying many new experiences.

Our day begun at the PE school where we conducted a scientific experiment based around types of jumps onto a pressure point, and looking at how the type of jump affects the data.

After Felix, Luke and Theo had a go swimming in the Flume Pool.  The current can be changed to create different degrees of difficulty.  When the current was at the same speed as an Olympic swimmer swims, Theo, Luke and Felix were working very, very hard!

Our next stop was Unipol where we got a tour around the facilities and had a game of giant dodgeball.  After lunch we had a tour of the stadium.  We even got to run through tunnel like the Highlanders!  For Block fans we also saw Emma.

We then walked up to the Anatomy Museum.  This was  truly fascinating.  It was a great opportunity to see our body learning in a real way, not just as pictures and diagrams in books or computers.  We used this as a great chance to continue our research for our body system presentation and to continue to build up our understanding of body systems.

It was a fantastic day out.  A huge thanks to our great parent help.
