Art in Action

With only four and half tech teaching weeks to go, the Art Room continues to be a busy and exciting place for students.

The Year 8 are working on their Artists' Houses. They have sculpted a face from clay and carved a woodcut block for their house. They have been architects and builders of their houses and soon will be artists who create the art work to adorn them.  It's always impressive the variety of creative ideas the students create.

Year Seven students have finished this week.  Next week they enter their final rotation.  We have had such fun in art.  First they learnt painting techniques by making their painted flowers.   And then our next unit was making Book Sculptures.   These have really allowed the students to develop their own ideas and be really creative.
