Student Success!

In the Christmas holidays, one of our Year 8 students, Alyssa, went to Tamworth in Australia to compete in a country music festival with her group M.A.C . Read on to hear about their experience and success. Congratulations Alyssa and your trio!

In January my trio M.A.C went over to Tamworth in Australia to compete at Australia’s biggest Country Music Festival. M.A.C won 2017 New Zealand Gold Guitars Intermediate Overall which gave us the opportunity to travel to Tamworth.

We entered three competitions and one of them was called Aristocrat Country Entertainer of the Year. It was the biggest competition we could enter.

We won the Senior Overall which was ( 18 years+ ). The prizes were 10 hours recording with Fattrack studios and $2000

M.A.C were given a spot to sing on the massive Toyota outdoor stage for the closing ceremony. We sang in front of 2000 people.

So that was an AWESOME experience, and I can’t wait for next time !!
