Swimsation Lessons Begin

By Terry Tarapi | Posted: Tuesday February 7, 2017
Room 14 participated in our first swimming lesson for 2017.

The first lesson was a sorting session where the students showed the instructors what they could do in the water.  They will now be grouped according to ability and the remaining 4 sessions will be used to work on specific skills.   With the instructors in the water they are able to provide instant feed-back and feed-forward while demonstrating techniques to the students.

The school swimming sports will be held on Friday 3rd March with both competitive and non competitive events.  These lessons will provide an accurate gauge for which section your child will enter.  For the competitive section there is both 25m and 50m races in freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke.   The non-competitive section consists of novel races in the shallow end of the pool.

Enjoy the action shoots from our first swimming lesson.
