Keeping in Touch

9 teams competed at the Oval Junior Competition for Balmacewen this term.

Over the past 8 weeks we have passed, scored and defended on the Oval Sports fields. Lots of laughs and fun as new skills were learnt and practised.

The mixed teams played each other for their final game while the girls and boys teams played for positions. Balmac Tornadoes were up against John McGlashan Gold for the Boys Final, and Balmac Fire were up against Columba Gold for the Girls Final. Both were great games to watch with some good passing and moves being made. Unfortunately the Tornadoes went down 2-4 to JMC in a tight game.  The Girls A team had a great game against Columba and won 5-0. This was a great result for them.  They have been unbeaten all term and only had one touchdown scored against them.  Well done girls - that's an awesome achievement.

In the Boys Grade, the Thunder came 3rd and the Cyclones 5th. While in the Girls Grade the Arrows came 4th and the Rebels 5th.

Its been a great first term for Touch and a BIG thank-you to all our coaches, managers and referees who have helped us this term. Its great to see all of our ex-students coming back to help out.   Thank-you to all the parents for supporting us on the side-line and washing the singlets every week. The singlets are now due back to school if they haven't already been brought in.

Looking forward to seeing you all again for Term 4.
