School Council Round Up

We have concluded a busy and exciting year this year with afew last fundraising items in Term 4. Check out what's been happening.

This term we have been busy helping judge the School Talent Quest heats, welcoming new 2017 students into our school at orientation activities, and finalising our fundraising ventures.

We held a mufti earlier this term and dontaed some money to the Cancer Society in Dunedin, which was one of the 4 main charities our school selected at the start of the year.

We also ran a sausage sizzle to raise funds for the Kaikoura Earthquale appeal. Fishers Meat in Kaikorai Valley kindly donated the sausages so that we could give maximum proceeeds towards this tragic event. We would like to thank them for their help in this project.

Throughout the year we have also been saving money from our fundraising projects to purchase a new drinking fountain. This was presented to Mr Hunter at assembly on Friday and will be installed over the summer holidays ready to use next year.

I would like to say a big thank you to all of the school councillors for their hard work and dedication over the year. You have been a fabulous group of students to work with and have attended meetings regularly, worked diligently on group projects and fundraised enthusiastically for a variety charities over the year. I hope you all have a safe and relaxing holiday and all the best for 2017.
