Pompom blasters in action!

Room 6 took part in their first STEM challenge! 

What does STEM stand for? Science - Technology - Engineering - Maths  - in groups and with supplied materials Room 6 had to create a device that blasts a pompom 1M into the air! We also focused on the Super 6 of working collaboratively and problem solving and persevering.  Some groups used their prior knowledge of existing inventions like a catapult and sling-slot to create their own working device. We had a super fun time working in groups and trying out new ideas. 

Our next STEM challenge is based around the popular new toy of a fidget spinner! Look out for an article about this next week.
