Edible Garden

We have been able to use the produce from the garden in our foods this week.

Last year the group from Room 7  helped out in the Foods Edible garden area with the support from Bunnings.  They planted a variety of vegetables in the garden including red cabbage, carrots, broccoli, cabbage and celery.  These have been harvested over the past few weeks and used in a variety of recipes we have made at school like Spaghetti Bolognaise and stir-fry.

The Apple Tree planted by the members of Room 9 (Mrs Qulech's last homeroom class) in 2013 that was donated by Mitre 10 has been a great producer of apples.  We have used them in our Apple Turn-overs and Fruit Crumble along with garden grown Rhubarb.

The Herb garden is also regulary being used as students can choose to add some fresh herbs from the variety we have,  Our mint, chives and rosemary are doing very well and much enjoyed in a variety of applications and dishes.
