Painted Cats, Big Letters and Peacocks

WOW!! The first group of Year 7 Artists have finished their painting projects.
We have been focusing on painting techniques, brush control, building rich layers, drawing skills and colour work. Each class did a different projects. Rooms 1, 25 & 26 did Occupation Cats and developed an idea for the character. Rooms 9,10 & 11 did a peacock which also developed an idea. And Rooms 2,5 & 6 did the first letter of their name and then observational drawings of objects that started with that letter. They then used Indian ink and water colour graphite pencils to add tone.
