Balmac Zoo Update!

Room's 7,8,& 14 have been very busy working on our Zoo inquiries over the last few weeks. Our learning street and the art room were a hive of activity last week as we worked on the many parts of our inquiry presentations. The results of this inquiry will be on display for parents to view on Thursday 5th April from 6.30-7.30pm when the Balmac Zoo will be open!

Throughout the term we have been learning about animal adaptations and survival through our visits to the Aquarium and the Butterfly house and Animal Attic at the Museum. Now over the last few weeks students have been working on their own Project Based learning inquiries to create a new species of animal based on the key knowledge of classification, food webs, life processes and adaptations that they have been learning in class.

Alongside this students have also been learning some new online technology skills with a programme called co-spaces that they will also be showcasing  this as part of their Inquiry. It is a great way to encourage students to create, make, collaborate as well as problem solve. We cannot wait to see their final presentations.
