Welcome to Room 7, 2018!

I would like to welcome all students and caregivers to the new year. New class, new teacher and new challenges await you this year, your last as a primary school student.

I am really looking forward to getting to know my new Year 8 students who are in Room 7 this year and welcome them and their Whanau to the Room 7 learning community. It is exciting the energy and enthusiasm that the new year brings. The challenge will be to get to know our new classmates, class routines and teachers over the next few weeks.

We will be working on our first unit which will involve activities, writing and art work to set up our class climate and environment. There will be a lot of information to take in over the next few days, and you will be expected to now step up as a Year 8 student to take responsibility to organise yourself and be ready for school!

On day one I will be going through our timetables, administration details, stationery as well as talking through the changes you can expect in Year 8. Wow - we are going to be busy! Come ready, come organised and come inspired to have an awesome year full of challenge, fun and change.
