On Friday the 24th of November Block 3 (Rooms 9,10 & 11) set a task to collaborate and create a mini fair, the goal was to raise money for our celebration week, this included lots of preparation and organising to be able to get a good result. To help us we used the ASPIRE steps (Accumulate. Sort. Plan. Implement. Report. Evaluate.)

After a lot of consideration we had a plan of what stalls we were going to hold. The stalls we held were the following; baking stall, sherbet stall, white elephant stall, handmade Christmas craft stall, lucky number table stall, guess how many chocolates in the box stall, guess how many lollies in the jar stall, American hot dog stall and a jaffa smash stall. We also had many fun games at the fair including shoot the goal, shot for pops and dunk the teacher.

Then we had to arrange how we were going to get everything we needed to make the fair happen, we accomplished this by letting the CEO’s go to New World and Kmart to get the stuff they needed for the stalls, we also got helpful contributions for the white elephant stall through donations.

Overall we were pleased with our efforts. We raised over $1300! We had managed to make enough money to cover our Celebration week activities but better yet we had also raised $800 extra which we decided we wanted to donate to Presbyterian Support. We would like to help other Otago children to celebrate as well.

We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the fair by donating something, helping out or by coming along and buying something. We would also like to thank Jamie, Mrs Cooper, Miss Cowie and Mr Rowe for being dunked we really appreciate you taking your time for us.
