Year 7 - End of Term 1, 2017

What an amazing 11 weeks the Year 7 team have had!

It is hard to believe our Year 7 crew have been part of the Balmacewen community for 11 weeks now. In that time most of our pupils have signed up for a sports team to represent Balmac, are learning an instrument, made new friends, or have  tried something new  - this is what life at Balmac is all about.

Our Term 1 programme that focused on Belonging and contributing to a community has resulted in some fantastic pieces of art work inspired by the Kiwi artist Nigel Brown.  These art works show the connection our pupils make between them and their community and the impact it has on them as a person. Really impressive pieces of art and writing to go with it.

Our focus for Term 2 is all about the Magic of discovery through science -All children will create a science fair inquiry to showcase their learning through Term 2.  You will have all received an email from your child's class teacher about science fair and the support that is required from home - any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

We hope that you as parents have enjoyed becoming part of the Balmacewen Community and we thank you for all your support and help during Term 1.

Enjoy a relaxed and happy Easter with your family.

Beth Downie and the Y7 team.
