Message from the Principal

Term 3 has been busy and successful with much to celebrate.

As you'll see in this newsletter, there have been many stories of success this term. There's no doubt it has been busy with sports, cultural and academic activities on offer and high numbers of student participation.

Congratulations to all students who have committed to a team or activity this term. Being a team member and learning how to work collaboratively towards a common goal is an important learning experience for a young person.

Resilience is a term heard more and more in education today. It has to do with perseverance, determination and a positive attitude to challenge. It's often associated with tough times or failure and learning through experience. Of course it's important as educators that we don't solve all problems for our students. It's ok to fail as you're prepared to look at the reasons why and what you could have done differently.  Experience can sometimes be a hard task master but the learnings taken from it, when applied with the right mindset can be invaluable.

Our building programme is progressing very well. Term 4 will see us "almost done". Teachers and students are really enjoying our new spaced and I hope that when we return from holiday that majority of landscaping and exterior work will be completed.

Have a great holiday break. Soon our Year 8 students will start their final term with us. Term 4 will race by with lots of major events to keep us engaged.

As always, don't hesitate to contact me if I can help in any way.

Kind Regards

Andrew Hunter
